Dutch courage is a well know saying and means to have a drink in order to boost one’s courage. In the Netherlands life as a lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender person is sometimes very far from the ideal that many people think exists. More often than not LGBT persons truly need some Dutch Courage in order to live up and be themselves. Even in a country that is thought to be very open and liberal, questions of coming out, how to recognize and accept oneself as LGBT are equally problematic and difficult waters to navigate and it is what this collection of short films touch on and explore.
