Statement: It's a real honour to be invited to attend Side by Side Moscow. We've screened our short film 'Being Stavros' at some of the world's leading LGBT film festivals such as Outfest LA, Frameline San Francisco and Inside Out Toronto (amongst many others) but this is the first screening outside the UK that I am attending in person and I'm greatly looking forward to it. I've chosen to attend Side by Side as I believe it may be the most important LGBT film festival in the world right now - and certainly the best place to screen our little film which is all about one man's battle for acceptance, respect and love.

Jonothan McLeod was born in Glasgow and began his career as a news reporter for Scottish Television.
