“I am honoured to be a judge at the Side by Side Film Festival in this, its 10th anniversary year. Contemporary art has the important task of talking to its audience about current problems, to pose questions and give people the opportunity to speak openly. The art of the mobile image and of cinema offer a very powerful and eloquent language in this process.

My congratulations to the directors whose works are included in the festival programme. I wish all who attend the festival interesting viewing.”
