When El-Ad was small, his mother told him: “Raising you is like raising three kids.” Ever since that moment, he felt guilty for being deaf, and tried extra hard to be like everyone else. He became even more alienated after the tragic death of his mother and the breakdown of his family. El-Ad later started a family of his own, becoming a father through a shared parenting arrangement with his friend Yaeli, who’s also deaf, surrounded by their deaf friends.

The film is his first-person account of the life he created for himself, and his attempt to show viewers his version of family and parenthood.

Iris Ben Moshe and El-ad Cohen have been working together since 2012. their first documentary (75 min) - "The Sign For Love" released in 2017 at the DOCAVIV film festival in Israel and won the audieance award. Since than they presented the film in lots of festivals around the world like- Sydney film festival, Sao Paulo film festival, Margaret Mead film festival and more.

El-ad Cohen, graduate of the Bezalel Acadamey for Art and Design in the visual communications department, is a cameraman and illustrator, and an actor at the "Na Lagaat" Center. During the last few years Elad has participated in documentary filmmaking courses, following which he has initiated and created "The Sign For Love" , film based on his life as a gay deaf guy in a hearing world.

Iris Ben Moshe, has a BFA in Film Studies from Tel Aviv University and an MA in Women and Gender Studies at the University. She is currently directing, editing, and producing and has an independent studio for film productions. In addition, she has been an interpreter for the Israeli sign language for the last 8 years. She is  a lecturer and coordinator of the program who train ISL sign language interpreters at Bar-Ilan University and is the Chairperson of the Israeli Interpreters Association for ISL.

The connection between- sign language and love for art and cinema they both share, led them to create  "The Sign For Love."
