Kris Gnezdova was born in 1995 in Moscow and studied philology at Moscow State University. Kris currently works as an English language teacher and studies sociology in French University College at Moscow State University. Kris participates in the action #quietpicket (#ςθυθιοθκες) and volunteers for the Moscow Open School of Human Rights.

The festival helped me feel that I am a part of the community and realize the importance of standing up for the right to be who you are. As long as Side by Side and other such initiatives exist, I believe all is not lost in the fight for LGBT rights in Russia.”
